July 5th track day. Racing 2 Save Lives

First off I'd like to thank all those that came out to the track to watch me and support me in something I feel very passionate about, racing motorcycles.

This was a special track day for me since a lot of my family came out to see what road racing is all about. They were able to witness the courage and amazing ability of so many riders out there on the track. I was lucky enough to be the person they came out to see. It makes me very happy that they all seemed to enjoy watching and were thrilled with what they all saw.

My lovely sister Jenn was there to capture the whole thing on film for me. This helps me in two ways; I love to see myself on the bike dragging my knee, and I can look at photos to help me realize what I need to do to improve.

I had so much fun out there on Saturday and rode more miles on the track than ever before. I wound up with 140 miles on my bike and about 10 on my buddies race bike. The only bad thing was I think I wound up with a slight case of Heat Stroke. I even drank 120 oz of water and 64 oz of Gatorade in the 7 hours I was out there and that apparently wasn't enough.

All this track practice is making me very fast and giving me a lot of confidence. I was able to wear my knee pucks completely out and will need another pair on my suit before the next track day.

Much to my dismay I will not be racing this year. This really makes Sheila happy. I thought I could race in Sept but the one I wanted to do is in August and I don't think I will be ready yet. So next April make some plans to watch me in my first Clubman race.

Yes Sheila likes it when Tony is in a state of utter dismay, but mostly I like having you in one functioning piece. I will be out there to watch your first race... I will be a paranoid mess, but there none the less.
